How do I order?

3. Enter your pet's details - ensure all fields are entered. We need this data in order to customise your pet's meals correctly.
4. Select the meal type - Natural (raw) or Sous Vide (gently cooked)
5. Be sure to select a meal protein or meat that you KNOW your pet is good with.
6. Select any allergies that your pet may have to ensure we exclude such allergens from your pet's meals.
7. Select any add-ons from our Add-On section (within the order page) to trial any new meats. Add-ons are highly recommended to test meats on your pet before you rotate to them in your next order.
8. If you need to add multiple pets in the same order, at the bottom of the order page, you may click 'ADD PET'. Repeat steps 3-6 for each pet.

Should my pet take Sous Vide cooked or Natural raw meals?
This depends entirely on your comfort level of feeding raw or your pet’s physiology. We would recommend Sous Vide meals if:

1. Your pet has IBD (Irritable Bowel Disease) where parts of the lower GI tract may be inflamed.
2. Has been on a dry food medium for most of its life and is senior (>10yrs old).
3. Your pet has a sensitive gut, and you require a slower transition to raw feeding e.g. kibbles -> sous-vide -> raw
4. Your pet has a temporary ailment such as amoebic parasites (giardia, coccidia), pancreatitis, or certain cancers that may preclude your pet from absorbing higher moisture foods like raw effectively.
5. Your pet does not favour the texture or taste of raw (although this may be a temporary issue and can be resolved via the gradual introduction of raw ingredients; or incentivisation using one of our many tantalising add-on toppers).

For all other cases, raw is still the most bioavailable food medium for our pets and there are extremely few who cannot transition to raw as it is a very digestible and natural food. If your pet is having abnormally wet stools while on raw meals, message BB Support for assistance as the most likely reason is usually allergies or overcomplexity.
Can I swap over immediately to feeding BOM BOM?
Yes, you can! BOM BOM diet contains a nutritious, simple, highly digestible ingredient list. Transition risk is minimal when converting your pet to the BOM BOM diet. The majority of pets take to this natural food very well with small, shaped stools. At worst, your pet may have slightly loose stool (due to the richness of offal or certain red meats, etc), but this should firm up over time. Poo-watching is important during new diet transitioning. Every pet may fare differently. If your pet has consistently darker and/or liquid stools, please message BB Support for assistance.
What are the components of the BOM BOM diet?
Bones, Offal, and Meat (as implied by our company name) should be the backbone of every pets' diet. Bones are the most bio-available form of trace minerals (e.g. calcium) and roughage; while organ meats (offal) are the richest and easily digestible sources of fat-soluble vitamins (A,D, E, and K) and water-soluble vitamins (B complex and C). Muscle meat, being the largest component provides the basic building block for your pets' development: essential amino acids. BOM BOM's meals offer the most balanced diet you could want for your pet while offering customisation options for even the fussiest palates or sensitive guts.
How cooked are the Sous Vide meals?
Our Sous Vide meals are cooked through to tender perfection. If compared to a steak, it is somewhere between medium-rare to medium in doneness (refer to the photo below). This helps to retain maximum nutrients and moisture content and to keep ingredients as natural and whole as possible. Ideally, meats should retain their original pink/red colour if cooked to a minimum. Colour denaturation can happen for several reasons:

1. Oxidation - BOM BOM’s meats are ultra-fresh and always under stringent cold chain management and packaging. This helps to minimise any decolouration caused by air causing fat peroxidation or vitamin or pigment deterioration.

2. Maillard reaction – when frying under high heat, the browning of meats is caused by denaturation of amino acids. While intense frying may impart aroma and be aesthetically pleasing, it isn’t the most nutritious way of preparing meals. BOM BOM’s Sous Vide meals are cooked under a controlled low temperature in a vacuumed environment to retain all the natural integrity of the meat – that means maximum nutrients and tender, juicy meats for your pet! ​
